Welcome from your innkeepers Kathleen and Rick. The Gathering Inn is a vital, interesting place, offering private, hostel and boarding house rooms. We provide comfortable beds in a
quiet, safe and friendly environment. There is no television, but we do offer lively conversation.
Nestled in the mountains of the beautiful Green Mountain National Forest in Hancock, Vermont, we're just 7 miles from the Long Trail, 10 miles from the Middlebury Snow Bowl and 25 miles from Killington and Sugarbush ski centers.
Our guests include hikers from the Long Trail, adventure cyclists from all over the world, and vacationers in all seasons. In addition to rooms with private baths, we offer low-cost hostel rooms for singles, couples and families. We also offer long term boarding rates, often used b
y folks who are temporarily working in the area, such as a botanist from the Forest Service who lives with us 5 months of the year.
We offer free transportation to/from Middlebury Gap for Long Trail hikers and skiers--please call well ahead to arrange pickup. Although we love all animals, we ask you to please leave your dogs at home. You may use our kitchen to prepare your own meals, or eat out at one of several local eateries.
